RESULTS of the last Saturday Presidential election released so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have shown that President Muhammadu Buhari is in the early lead with four states already won by him.
He won four of the five states whose results were announced on Monday afternoon.
According to INEC, Buhari won in Ekiti, Osun, Nasarawa and Kwara states. He lost in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar won.
The breakdown of the results showed that the president polled 219,231votes in Ekiti to defeat Atiku who had 154,032 votes. In Osun State, he scored 347,634 votes as against Atiku’s 337,377 votes.
For Nasarawa, he narrowly defeated Atiku, polling 289,903 votes to defeat Atiku who scored 283,847 votes. In Kwara State, Buhari carried the day with 308,984 votes against Atiku’s 138,184 votes.
In the FCT where Buhari lost to Atiku, he scored 152,224 while his opponent scored 259,997 votes.
