Buhari appoints Sakirat Madein as first female accountant general of the federation

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein as the substantive accountant general of the federation.

A statement on Friday by Mohammed Abdullahi Ahmed, director of communication in the office of the head of the service of the federation, announced the appointment.

The statement quoted the head of the civil service of the federation to have said that the appointment was with immediate effect from Thursday, May 18.

Until her appointment, Madein was the director of finance and accounts, DFA, in the office of the head of the civil service of the federation.

The appointment followed a successful conduct of selection process to fill the existing vacancy.
