A London court on Friday sentenced Ike Ekweremadu, a former Nigerian senate president, his wife and medical doctor Obeta to more than 24 years in jail for organ harvesting.
The Senator got nine years and eight months, his wife, four years and six months, and Dr Obeta,10 years.
This was in the case of organ donation for Ekweremadu’s daughter who has a kidney condition.
The potential donor blew the lid claiming he was tricked to London to be exploited. Organ donation involving financial or other benefits is a serious crime under the UK’s Modern Slavery Act of human trafficking & organ harvesting conspiracy.
Ironically, Britain & other country beneficiaries have refused to pay reparations for Transatlantic Slave Trade when millions of Africans were sold into forced labour across the World.
