Word of wisdom: But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.
Life point: Notice in the scripture above that without faith you cannot please God, therefore no matter how many good works you offer, God will not be pleased if they were done to earn His favour.
Whatever we do for God should be because we love Him, not because we try to get something from Him.
Almighty God is a reward for those who diligently seek Him. I rejoiced when I finally realized this! I know I have made many mistakes in the past, but I also know I have diligently sought the Lord with all my heart.
That means that I qualify for rewards. I decided long ago when I came to this revelational knowledge that even though I did not deserve them, I would receive any blessings that God wanted to give me.
I hope you will do the same and not hinder God’s blessings for your life because of holier than thou attitude and self-condemnation.
