By Pastor Emmanuel Ibekwe
Pope Francis has now approved Catholic priests “blessing” same-sex couples. But none of us, including the Pope, has the right to “bless” what God calls sin. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…” (Isaiah 5:20).
I foresee a division in the Catholic Church…Pope Francis approving the “blessing” of same sex couples is at least part of the Apostasy mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2 as part of the last days. The ignorant may argue but time will tell.
When religion starts following the fashions of society and goes against its own holy book it loses its authority and becomes obsolete. Society tends to follow the passions of people’s hearts.
The hearts of human beings constantly change through time. But God doesn’t change; what was
wrong 3000 years ago is still wrong.
It is the job of religion to morally and spiritually lead society and to protect people from blindly following their passions and damaging their souls.
If religion does the opposite and follows society instead, it just becomes a charity organisation or social club.
I don’t think my Lord and Savior will be happy about this. The word ‘bless’ means ‘to make holy or to consecrate.’
Despite the nuances the Vatican wants us to consider, a ‘sin is a sin.’ When you bless what God says is an abomination, you are accepting it instead of condemning it.
Holy, Holy, Holy Is the Lord God Almighty!
“A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife!” {Matt 19:5}
Mark 10:6-9 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.”
By this scripture, man and man cannot become one flesh.
My prayer:
Forgive them father for they know not what they do.
It’s time to wear the armor of God everywhere we go and defend the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The world is getting more dangerous . The Pope has no right to alter or to make the rules, only God does. He made all this very clear in THE BIBLE.
When you see the abomination that causes desolation standing in the Holy Place. You should know what to do if you have the Spirit of God.
The Pope is going to get a rude awakening when he hears Jesus say, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness or iniquity.
It is not the title that matters but the TRUTH.
Once again, may God forgive him and give him the grace to repent before it becomes late in Jesus name.
