CLIFF Elisha Abbo, senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District has apologized to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Nigerian people for his recent behaviour in an Abuja sex toys shop.
The senator who was captured on CCTV slapping a sex toy shop attendant admitted to molesting the woman and asked his colleagues for forgiveness.
Abbo who had been summoned by National Working Committee of the PDP told his party leaders that he is not a violent man.
“I have never been known or associated with such actions in the past. Regardless of what transpired prior to my expression of anger I am sincerely sorry.”
In a show of contriteness he said the woman did not deserve to be beaten in the course of doing her job and regretted that the incidence took place. “I personally apologize to Bibra and her family for my action towards her,” the senator said in a statement released to the media at the PDP secretariat.
Media reports indicate that the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed had ordered the arrest of the first time senator for violence against Bibra, the Abuja sex toy shop attendant.
