Sam Nda-Isaiah, the publisher of Leadership newspaper is dead.
According to sources with knowledge of what happened, Sam, as he was known, died this
morning at the Government hospital in Gwagwalada, on the outskirts of Abuja.
Sam Nda Isaiah was a trained pharmacist who dabbled into the media industry because of his
love of writing.
For many years he wrote a political column in his newspaper.
Sam contested the 2015 APC presidential Congress and lost to the eventual winner of the
presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari is known to be Sam’s mentor.
His newspaper, Leadership, is reputed to be the most influential newspaper in northern Nigeria.
Sam Nda Isaiah, 58, was an astute businessman with investments in technology, hospitality, and
other sectors.
A family source disclosed that Sam was said to have died as a result of complications from COVID-19.
