The Economic Communities of West African States (ECOWAS) peace delegation led by former head of state Abdulsalami Abubakar to the Niger Republic has met with the ousted President Mohamed Bazoum.

The meeting took place on Friday in Niamey, the capital of Niger.
The delegation is on a final visit to the country to dialogue with the military junta on the ways to restore constitutional government in Niger and secure the release of the ousted president who has been detained since last month when he was toppled.
