The purported results of APC Anambra governorship primaries which declared Andy Uba winner was written at the Imo State Government House, Owerri hours before Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s team arrived in Awka, capital of Anambra State.
APC governorship primary for the November 6th election was supposed to have held on Saturday, June 26th.
According to the timetable, the Direct Primary election was to start at 8 am with accreditation of delegates and voting to start thereafter.
An INEC internal memo signed by three INEC officials, Ibe U. Ibe, Nkechi Abu, and Modibbo Bellel, claims that the electoral body deployed 326 staffers to monitor the primary elections in the 326 wards of Anambra state.
The INEC election monitors, according to the internal memo, arrived at the 326 polling units at 8 am and departed between 5-5.30pm.
According to the internal INEC memo, voting materials and electoral personnel from APC were not at any polling unit in Anambra state between the hours of 8 am and 5:30 pm when the monitors withdrew from the field.
Accreditation and voting did not take place in Anambra state on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 for the APC primary.
However, the seven-man team led by the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun declared the results of the primary during the early hours of Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Here’s the script:
The governor of Ogun state and leader of the APC Anambra state governorship primary team arrived at Awka late afternoon on Saturday.
The team had a meeting with governorship aspirants and stakeholders till at least 6 pm on Saturday and it was agreed that the primary would take place on Sunday.
The aspirants started making arrangements for the primary election to hold on Sunday. Elendureports spoke to one campaign manager who was making frantic calls to supporters.
Anambra State citizens and residents woke up on Sunday to hear the announcement of the results of an election where no one voted.
Elendureports can report that voting for the Anambra APC primary took place at the Government House, Owerri.
While aspirants and stakeholders were apprehensive about the team from APC headquarters visiting with the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, and spending a lot of time in Owerri, very few people knew what was going on.
As time dragged by and stakeholders wondered why there was a lot of delay in starting the process, at least one aspirant knew that the delay was part of a script written by him and his cohorts.
According to the script; Dapo Abiodun and his team collected the results of the APC primary, arrived at Awka late by which time delegates had dispersed, hold meetings with aspirants, make a half-hearted commitment to transparency, party loyalty and order elections for the next day.
Later that night, Dapo Abiodun would announce results and with his team head straight to Asaba or Owerri Airport where a private jet would be waiting on the tarmac to ferry them to Abuja.
Sounds familiar? Yes, it is. That’s how the strong man of Owerri emerged the candidate for the APC Imo state governorship election in 2019. This was a script acted by the late Bar. Ahmed Gulak for Hope Uzodinma.
Gov. Dapo Abiodun has acted the same script for Sen. Andy Uba
