The Grassroots Development Party of Nigeria (GDPN) on Wednesday vowed to rescue Nigerians from the hardship brought on them by the All Progressive Congress (APC).
It also added that the solution to the myriads of problems confronting the country lies with the party.
Yelwa Abubakar, the National Publicity Secretary of the party made this known in Abuja at the unveiling of the party manifestos, where she also noted that the party was the only party free of god-fatherism.
It said while the party is not promising change like the ruling party, but noted that the party would bring hope to Nigerians and proffers solutions to various problems without apportioning blame.
He lamented that the way the APC administration under President Muhammadu Buhari is piloting the affairs of the nation is to bring division to the country.
Abubakar said the ideology of the party is to reduce the mass movement of people from the rural area to the urban area.
She stated: “we are their hope now. We are not offering them any change because change is nothing but pain to the common man in Nigeria. We are not changers but we are people who will offer solution to them. We will ease their pains through our own solutions.
“The motto of this our own party is Peace, Industry, and Progress. You can all bear me witness that any nation without peace, there will be no industry, any nation without industry, there won’t be any progress as we can witness in the present regime
” This present regime promised the Nigerian populace that they are bringing change, everybody was clamouring for the change but they deceived us, there was no change, they brought hardship. We will stand tall and brave in our campaign to see that the masses are rescued from the hands of the APC. They have nothing to offer us, let us not deceive ourselves.”
