Daniel Itse Amah, a Superintendent of Police and Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State who rejected the bribe offered to him by someone connected to a robbery syndicate, has received a commendation from Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector-General Police (IGP).
The IGP presented a certificate of commendation to Amah for rejecting the bribe of $200,000 in connection with a criminal syndicate in Kano.
The IGP, in the certificate, extolled SP Amah for exhibiting sound professionalism leading to the arrest of Ali Zaki, a Kano-based legal practitioner and some police officers.
It was gathered that the investigations by operatives led by SP Amah culminated in the arrest of the suspected armed robbery syndicate in Kano.
Findings revealed that the case was transferred to the Force Headquarters in Abuja on the directive of IGP for further investigation.
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that there was an arrest, saying: “The lawyer and other suspects involved in the case have a case to answer, and we are still on with the matter.”
