For more candidates to be able to complete their registration, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has shifted the date for the conduct of the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, who disclosed this development in Abuja on Saturday at the end of a stakeholders meeting said the board has extended the registration of candidates for the 2021 UTME and Direct Entry (DE).
According to him, the exam will now starts from June 19, 2021 and end on July 3.
He also said the mock exam will now take place on May 29, 2021, while the registration which supposed to end on Saturday (today) has been extended by two weeks.
JAMB had earlier scheduled the matriculation examination to start on Saturday, Jun 5 and end on June 19.
On Friday, May 14, the Board said over 600,000 potential candidates were unable to register for the exam following issues with the mandatory use of National Identification Number.
