BURUNDI President, Pierre Nkurunziza is dead. Nkurunziza who was due to step down in August after 15 years in office died of cardiac arrest aged 55.

The late President was admitted to hospital on Saturday. On Monday he suffered a fatal heart attack, according to BBC.
Nkurunziza’s regime survived two coup attempts as he sought tenure extension. This led to the death of hundreds of his citizens.
