The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti has directed its full time students to resume with effect from Monday, November 20, 2017, upon the payment of N20,000 reparation fee as well as meet other conditions stipulated.

This is contained in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Friday by Ade Adeyemi-Adejolu, Deputy Registrar, Information at the Polytechnic.

He said the announcement followed the institution’s closure on Saturday, October 7, 2017 after  a violent students’ protest resulting in the razing down of the school’s Health Centre among other acts of looting and vandalisation across the Polytechnic’s main campus.

“The decision to recall the students from their forced break was reached at an emergency meeting of the Polytechnic’s Academic Board held on Tuesday, 7th November, 2017.”He said

He explained that all the Students upon resumption are required to pay a reparation fee of N20,000 with all other outstanding fees as part of the conditions to be met before admittance into the school.

He stated further that the students were also expected to come along with a sworn-affidavit to be of good behaviour throughout the remaining period of their studentship and a letter of indemnity from their Parents/Sponsors or Guardians.

According to him, “failure to present evidence of payment of the reparation fee and the required letter of Undertaking by any of the students will lead to forfeiture of studentship of the Polytechnic by the defaulting student.”

He said students were further advised to make the payment online, by visiting the Institution’s website at www.fedpolyado.edu.ng and follow the instructions to effect the payment after which they are to proceed to the Bursary for authentication.

Meanwhile, examination for all non-SIWES Students will commence on Monday, November 27, 2017 while resumption and commencement of Lectures for SIWES students has been fixed to commence on Monday, December 11, 2017.
