Bello Matawalle, Governor of Zamfara State has announced that schoolgirls abducted by terrorist last Friday from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Talata Marafa Local Government have been released.
The governor disclosed this Tuesday morning in a Twitter message.
“Alhamdulillah! It gladdens my heart to announce the release of the abducted students of GGSS Jangebe from captivity. This follows the scaling of several hurdles laid against our efforts. I enjoin all well-meaning Nigerians to rejoice with us as our daughters are now safe” he said.

There were reports earlier on Sunday that the girls who were taken at about 1 am by their abductors were released but the state governor denied such reports.
