THE All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday dissolved its National Working Committee (NWC) following series of leadership crisis that the party is currently facing.
The dissolution of the NWC was effected at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party being attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, governors of the party and some leaders of National Assembly.
Victor Giadom, factional acting National Chairman of the party had called the NEC meeting despite opposition from Isiaka Ajimobi led faction of the party.
President Buhari had on Wednesday thrown his support behind Giadom, noting that he was on the side of the law.
Arising from the meeting, the NEC dissolved the NWC based on the recommendation of president Buhari.
It was also agreed that there should be a withdrawal of all cases in court involving all party members while the NEC announced the establishment of Caretaker/Convention Committee.
Mai Mala Buni , Governor of Yobe was appointed as Caretaker Chairman of the party.
The meeting also resolved on the ratification of the gubernatorial primaries in Edo State.
