The University of Lagos, Akoka has become the first Nigerian university to own and operate a television station.
This followed the approval of issuance of a television license to the university by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Presidency made this known Thursday night in a tweet by its official Twitter handle.
“Pres @MBuhari has approved the issuance of a TV license to the University of Lagos—Nigeria’s first Campus Television License.
“@UnilagNigeria VC: “It is now on record that the present administration signed the first campus TV license & we remain deeply grateful to the President.”
