Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2023 elections has joined Labour Party.
This is coming 48 hours after Obi resigned his membership of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing gang up against him within the party.
He was said to have joined his new party on Friday in his ward in Anambra State.
Obi announced his new party on his official Twitter handle.

“I thank all Nigerians, especially our youths who have joined me in the mission of taking back and reuniting Nigeria. This project is yours and for the future of your children. I am just a facilitator,” he wrote.
Obi, seeing as a shrewd and successful businessman is believed to have the sympathy of the ordinary Nigerian to clinch the presidency in 2023.
