Abdullahi Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State has announced the arrest of Mohammed Usman popularly known as Papa Nura, a notorious gang leader who allegedly killed Philip Tatari Shekwo, chairman of the state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) a week ago.
The Governor announced this on Tuesday, during an entrepreneurship programme and job fair for Nasarawa Youth, and graced by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
He said the gang leader was arrested in Asakio village.
Sule said the suspect has confessed to had killed the Nasarawa APC chairman.
According to him,” Just 10 minutes ago I have just been informed that one Mohammed Usman popularly known as Papa Nura, a notorious gang leader who killed the APC chairman has been arrested”.
” He was arrested in a village called Asakio. It is exactly the place we were expecting to arrest him and he has been arrested,” he added.
Recall that Shekwo, Nasarawa APC chairman was kidnapped in his residence in Lafia on Saturday last weekend and later killed by his abductors and his corpse found on Sunday morning.
