Nebuchadnezzar said to them, is it true O Shedrach, Meshach and Abedinego that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image which I have set up? Daniel 3:14
Life point: Refuse to conform!
King Nebuchadnezzar set up a huge golden image in Babylon and required everyone to bow down before it and worship it. Anybody who refused to do so would be thrown into a fiery furnace.
Shedrach , Meshach and Abedinego , three of Daniel’s close friends, refused to bow down. They had the same excellent godly spirit that Daniel had, so they refused. The King said to them, basically, If you do not do as I say, I am going to burn you alive .
Isn’t that basically what the world says to you and me ? If we refuse to conform to its standards, the world threatens us by saying “ If you don’t bow down and do what we want you to do, If you do not fit into our mold , we are going to hurt you in some way. The world may threaten us, but with God , we will always emerge victorious.
Child of God hear this. Those who try to get you to conform will not respect you if you do conform. In fact they will despise your weakness. They will know they are controlling you and that what they are doing is wrong. But if you will stand your ground, you will be the one who ends up with the respect. For a while they may treat you as though you were the lowest creature on earth . But when all is said and done, you will earn their respect.
Note this beloved child of God. Integrity and godly convictions lead to blessing and favor!

Lord Jesus help me not to conform to this world even at my weakest moments, empower me to overcome in Jesus name!
