THE Presidency has said that the West African Examination Council (WAEC), has issued an “attestation certificate” to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina in a tweet from his verified handle on Friday made the announcement.
He wrote, “WAEC presents attestation certificate and confirmation of school cert result to President Buhari. What will the naysayers say next?”.
Buhari is being criticised by the opposition in Nigeria after he told the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), that his school certificate is still with military authorities.
The whereabouts of the president’s certificate has generated much debate in the build-up to the 2019 general election, just as it did in pre-2015, after the president claimed in an affidavot that his certifocate was with the Nigerian Army.
