Prof Charles Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Wednesday escaped death after masked gunmen attacked the venue of a town hall meeting he was having in Isuofia his home town, Anambra State.
Two mobile policemen were killed by the assailants but Soludo whose whereabouts was not immediately known local sources said was unhurt.
“Soludo was not harmed . The assailants wearing masks went after the mobile policemen and gunned about 4, of them . Scary situation in Anambra,” local source said.
Police in the state have not issued any statement on the attack.
