THE Protem Chairman of Sokoto State Door-to-Door Mobilisation Vanguard (H2H), Yusuf Dingyadi, says the group has commenced the door-to-door mobilisation campaign for re-election of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, and other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Dingyadi stated this in Bodinga during presentation of jerseys, caps and other political campaign materials donated to some selected groups of youths in the area by the H2H.
According to him, the exercise of donating campaign materials to the teeming party supporters was an indication of commencement of the House-to-House campaign for the PDP in the state which he noted would cover all the local government areas.
Dingyadi who is also Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Tambuwal said the House-to-House reaches more communities through sensitization and enlightenment about developmental projects executed by the administration of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, especially on education, agriculture, health, security and other social services for the well being of our people of the state.
He said the campaign was initiated by the group to inform and guide teeming supporters about the need to ensure the protection of their votes during and after election.
This, he explained would be taken to the grassroots, whereby the groups would meet eligible voters in their own houses to seek their votes.
Over 6000 volunteers across the state, Dingyadi said were expected to participate in the four weeks of mobilisation and public enlightenment exercise.
He disclosed that the groups were targeting 500, 000 votes across the state through daily house-to–house campaign and mobilisation of eligible voters in the 23 local government areas of the state.
“It is a well planned effort of mobilizing the good people of the state toward attracting more votes for the PDP Presidential candidate, governor and his Deputy, as well as other PDP candidates in all elective positions in the state; our project is entirely a voluntary, but we will involved party leardership from the ward, local govt and other stakeholders in order to ensure that governor Tambuwal secured bulk votes than any other candidate in the state.” said Dingyadi.
He said they are targeting bulk votes in the rural areas by engaging volunteers who agreed to work day and night for the success of PDP candidates in order to ensure qualitative leadership under the MUTAWALLE SAK re-election project initiated by the group.
Dingyadi urged party leaders to support and participate actively on this mobilisation of informing people about the vision and mission of providing good governance to the state under the administration of governor Tambuwal for the success of our party.
He described the community participation of party supporters in the mobilisation project in the state as another milestone toward ensuring the success of re-election bids of governor Tambuwal in Sokoto state.
