Leader of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu met with members of his family under the supervision of Department of State Services DSS officials.
The meeting was made possible nearly two months after Kanu was arrested by Interpol and brought back to Nigeria under controversial circumstances.
The IPOB leader, according to the younger brother, Emma Kanu was in high spirit as he discussed cheerfully with his immediate family members.
The younger Kanu told reporters how the visit went on the phone saying, “I met with my elder brother, Nnamdi today, Monday at the Department of State Services DSS headquarters, Abuja where he is being detained currently.
“He is in high spirit and more determined now than ever in getting Biafra”.
Emma Kanu disclosed further the IPOB leader had been praying fervently for all Biafrans all over the world and used the opportunity to send his greetings and warm felicitations to them, adding “he was grateful for their firm support to him”.
According to Emma, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu urged all Biafrans to keep the Biafra spirit alive and expressed optimism that the Biafra Republic will soon be restored irrespective of the antics of the enemies.
“I want to confirm to you that he’s in high spirit and appreciates all the support from all Biafrans home and abroad”, Emma added, even as he asked the federal government to grant his brother access to his personal physicians.
The younger Kanu further called on the international community to prevail on Nigeria to free his brother so that he could reunite with the family.
