Niger Governor tests positive for COVID-19

Abubakar Sani Bello, Governor of Niger State has tested positive for COVID-19. This was disclosed in a tweet on his official handle @GovNiger on Monday.

It said: “Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The governor said the result of his latest test came back positive and he had consequently proceeded on self-isolation.

Abubakar is the latest Nigerian Governor to have tested positive for COVID-19. Nasi-El-Rufai of Kaduna, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi and a few others had also tested positive for the virus.
