MY Event International has launched the maiden 9ja Got Comedy Show- an ‘edutainment’ project designed to educate, entertain and discover people through the instrument of comedy.
The entertainment oufit described the introduction of the 9ja got comedy as another landmark to the blossoming industry through an untapped strategy, stressing that the audition will take place in the six geopolitical zones.
The Content Manager of the programme, Anthony Loudvoice, while addressing a press conference in Abuja said that comedy is one od the strongest pillars of the entertainment industry in Nigeria, which has made the industry the second largest contributor to country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.
He stressed that the impact and popularity of comedy in Nigeria cannot be overemphasised, hence its inclusion in spicing up every major event in the country ranging from social events to government functions.
“This project will undoubtedly change the narrative in the comedy business and create greater platforms for the upcoming youngsters in a very entertaining way.”
Anthony added that audition will take place on November 19th at Merit House, Abuja; while the Kano audition will take place on November 21st at St. Charles Hall, Kano; and on November 23rd, the Jos audition will take place at Plateau Hall.
Also, on November 28,there will be audition at Universal Hall, Enugu; while on November 30, Beverly Hills will be the venue of Port Harcourt audition and by December 3, Sheba Centre, will be the venue of the Lagos state audition.
The finalists from the zones will slug it out at the grand finale from the 18th to 20th of January, 2019.
The 1st position will be rewarded withN1million , a brand new car and a paid trip to Dubai, the 2nd position will win N1million, while the 3rd position will win N500,000.
