Members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) were treated to a mild drama on Wednesday before the commencement of the weekly FEC meeting when a confrontation ensued between Winifred Ita-Oyo, Head of Service of the Federation and Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The ugly scenario was believed to be as a result of a leaked memo from Oyo-Ita addressed to Kyari, indicting President Buhari, on the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina somehow found its way in the corridor of media.
The mild drama played out in the presence of Vice-President Yemi Osinbanjo; Bukola Saraki; President of the Senate, Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and John Odigie-Oyegun, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress,.
Oyo-Ita, usually calm, was seen angrily gesticulating in the heated argument with Kyari.
She returned to her seat and angrily stood up again, this time heading straight to Osinbajo, who also discussed with her.
Babagana Monguno, National Security Adviser, then joined the conversation.
Mustapha Boss, meanwhile, started his job as SGF as a peace maker by trying to calm Oyo-Ita.
