ONE week after over 37,000 police recruits took an aptitude test to be enlisted into the Nigeria Police, the police authorities have released the list of successful recruits.
Out of this figure, Kano and Katsina states have 308 and 238 recruits respectively to top the list.
The recruits took an aptitude test conducted on May 25, 2018 by Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) in 156 centres across the country which the police said was meant to maintain high professional standard.
According to information made available on the website of the Police Service Commission (PSC), shortlisted recruits are to report for medical screening between May 31st and June 3rd 2018 at the Zonal Police Command Headquarters in their respective state of origin.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Bayels have lowest candidates, having 42 and 54 respectively, while Gombe and Sokoto also have 75 and 84 candidates shortlisted respectively.
Oyo came third with 225 candidates; Akwa Ibom came fourth with 194 candidates while 189 candidates were selected from Borno State. Jigawa state also had 189 candidates.
Also, Abia had 114, Adamawa 140, Anambra,146 candidates .Bauchi,133, Benue 157, Cross River 122, Delta 166, Ebonyi 91, Edo 125, Enugu 119, Imo 181, Kaduna 161, Kebbi 144, Kogi 140, Kwara 110, Lagos 136, Niger had 169.
In Ogun state, 140 candidates were shortlisted for the stage, Ondo had 125, Osun 211, Plateau 116, Rivers 138, Sokoto 161.
Taraba had 112. Yobe had 110 and Zamfara had 99.
