Ali Modu Sheriff, former Governor of Borno State has reacted to a video trending on the social media purportedly showing that he was attacked by angry crowd in Maiduguri, the State capital, saying such video was not only false but the handi work of his political opponents in the state.
The former acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said there was never a time that he was attacked or lynched as being shown in the ‘trending false video.
Reacting through a press statement issued by Kolo Adams, his Special Adviser on Media, Sherif blamed the circulation of the video on Kashim Shettima, the incumbent Governor of the state.

Our attention has been drawn to a false video trending online titled SAS lynched in Maiduguri.
About 18 months ago, senator Ali Modu Sheriff, the former Governor of Borno State and the immediate past National Chairman of PDP paid a condolence visit to Alhaji Waziri, Chairman APC Maiduguri metropolitan.
