The Ife Federal Constituency House of Representatives’ aspirants, under the All Progressive Congress (APC), Benjamin Adereti has applauded the intervention of a former deputy governor of Osun State, Iyiola Omisore through the Federal Emergency Road Management Agency (FERMA) assisted projects on the reconstruction of Ife township roads.
Adereti in a statement sent to Elendu Reports said the efforts made to commence the construction on the bad portions of the roads deserve commendation noting that they were timely.
Addressing members of the APC, who paid him solidarity visit in his Ife residence, Adereti lamented that road users along the Mayfair-Iremo-Enuwa-Ilesa garage-Osu road have been passing through a lot of hard times on the roads.
He pointed out the steps taken by former senator Omisore at actualising the reconstruction of these roads which have been abandoned for a long time.
“I must give kudos to our leader, Senator Christopher Iyiola Omisore for this timely intervention at putting Ife township roads back to best shape,” he said.
“The roads users have lamented the deplorable state of these facilities, the culverts, drainage systems and the roads itself. It has deformed the beauty of the ancient town of Ile-Ife and we are now happy that respite has finally come.”
“I want to inform our people and leaders of our great party, APC of the great work done by Senator Omisore and other party leaders who influence the reconstruction works.”
He noted that “Work is in progress between Post office, Oja Tuntun Junction, Sabo, Fajuyi to Moore Junction by FERMA”.
An elated Adereti stressed that the people should shun negative insinuations and blackmail on the person of senator Omisore.
He said the race can forge ahead when the people embrace oneness, cooperate and speak in one voice against any form of evil, adding that with God, Ife will attain it’s developmental goals.
