THE Yarima Solidarity Association, Yarima Network, Odua Youths in support of Yarima and other associations have backed the presidential ambition of a former governor of Zamfara State, Sani Ahmad Yarima.
The groups declared their support for the ex-governor after a meeting with their members in Southwest and Kwara state.
They noted that members of the groups in the Southwest needed to come together to plan for the “task ahead.”
Yarima, an All Progressives Congress (APC) member has declared interest to contest for the presidency in 2023.
In a communiqué at the end of the meeting, the groups promised to mobilise their members to support the ambition of Yarima to become president.
The communique was jointly signed by National Coordinator, Chief Moshood Balogun and National Secretary, Waheed Owoade in Abuja on Tuesday.
The groups promised to rally support for Yarima at the grassroots in the region to ensure that he succeeds.
“We in the southwest and Kwara are ready to work and make sure we actualise our dream by voting him as our next president come 2023,” the communique added.
