Jam Intervention For Vulnerable Children And Climate Change Initiative, popularly known as Jam – Initiative, has donated some back to school materials to children of military widows who lost their lives during combat in Maiduguri.
Josie Mudasiru, President Jam Intervention For Vulnerable Children and Climate Change Initiative, JAM Initiative, while donating the school materials in Maiduguri, said the group is proud in identifying with children of military personnel that lost their lives in the ongoing insurgency in Nigeria.
Mudasiru who was represented at the presentation by Hassan Jidda Arabi, Programs Officer, Jam- Initiative said, “Jam Intervention For Vulnerable Children And Climate Change Initiative, popularly known as Jam – Initiative is a nonprofit organisation that is interested in the wellbeing of children, especially the Vulnerable ones the Society.
“Today, we are here to identify with Children of Military personnel that lost their lives in the ongoing insurgency. We know that the Military is a responsible organisation that takes of its own.
Jam – Initiative is gesture is to show solidarity and identify with the plight of the Military family.
Society recognises your sacrifices, and to those whose loved ones paid the ultimate price, you are not alone. Our prayers and thoughts are always with you.”
She also urged other well-meaning Nigerians to always remember the Military family.
And commended NAOWA for the good job they are doing in empowering Women.
The Headmistress of NAOWA Primary School, Rita Abomchi, received the items on behalf of the NAOWA President ( 7 Division), Mrs Halima Ibrahim, she commended JAM Initiative for the gifts and promised it will get to the right children.
The items that were donated included books, school bags, writing materials, rayon’s, math sets, and facemasks
