According to him, the agency is making every effort to have green economy and  has not rescinded its decision in sanctioning any erred individual, group orindustry that doesn’t take issues of protecting the envir‎onment seriously.Anukam lamented that many residents in the cities and industrial areas have not been complying with environmental rules and regulations.

His words: “The way people dump waste, create noise, everything must come through environmental standards,

“Development is not at variance to do with issues of environment. Energy in a form of renewable energy, clean up mechanism.

“If we get it right through effective governance, we would achieve a green economy. We can’t achieve it where we don’t have environmental governance.

“Deepen knowledge and understanding of environmental governance is a factor at achieving sustainable economy and how we can put our green agenda,” he said.

Anukam added that having a serene environment enhances business growth,  encouraged individuals and industry to corroborate the relentless efforts of the agency in achieving its goal.

“Make sure our vehicles are properly serviced. Greening the industry is using production process that will never lead to environmental hazards.

“In developing industries, we are looking at those aspects of sustainable production. Environmental protection in the industry makes good business,” he said.
