Elendu Rreports have learnt through several sources that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari to prepare his hand over note.
This newspaper cannot confirm if the two senior media aides of the president, Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu were also given the same directive.
The reclusive chief of staff to the president has been a controversial figure in the Buhari administration.
There had been unconfirmed and sometimes ludicrous allegations of corruption and other malfeasance against Abba Kyari who is a former banker and journalist.
Rumours were rife that the president had vowed in a private meeting after his election in February to “clean house and correct the wrong impressions” created by his detractors.
Kyari is believed to be a powerful member of the president’s cabinet, but considered by many as untouchable.
President Buhari has yet to make any appointment into his cabinet since his inauguration for his second term on May 29 except for the appointment of a new GMD for the NNPC and seven Chief Operating Officers on Thursday.
