Ayodele Fayose, Governor of Ekiti State says, Kayode Fayemi, his predecessor and the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election in the state should not celebrate yet as he would suffer his worse political defeat in the election.
Fayemi, Minister of Mine and Steel Development on Saturday emerged the candidate of the APC after the primary election conducted in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital where he polled 941 votes ahead 12 other candidates including Segun Oni, another former governor of the stat.
But Fayose in a tweet said Fayemi’s victory is nothing but a flame that will be quenched on July 14.
“I thank the APC for giving Ekiti people a candidate they love to vote against at all times. Fayemi should not celebrate this pyrrhic victory yet because it is nothing but a flame that will be quenched on July 14. He should expect to suffer worse defeat compared to that of 2014,” he tweeted
