President Muhammadu Buhari has returned back to the country after undergoing medical check-up in the United Kingdom.
The return trip which came as a surprise, saw the President landing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja in the evening of Thursday.
Prior to his return, there had been uncertainty over when the President will return back to the country to face his responsibilities, especially in the light of insecurity and economic challenges.
Recall that Buhari left the shores of Nigeria on Tuesday, 30 March, 2021 for the United Kingdom for a routine medical checkup.
The Presidency in a terse statement had explained that he is expected to return to Abuja this week.
Specifically, Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, had in a statement penultimate Monday said President Buhari is due back in the country during the second week of April, 2021.
The President had before his departure met with Security Chiefs where he tasked them on the need to review their combat strategy.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of April, 2021,” the statement said.
