PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari says he would work harder in his second term in order not to disappoint Nigerians.
The president spoke on Wednesday in Abuja when he met with the leadership of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) at the Presidential Villa.
The ACF paid him a visit to congratulate him on his re-election.
“This is my last lap, I will try to work harder. I assure you, I will not let you down”, he told the group led by its Board of Trustees Chairman, Adamu Fika.
Fika had earlier said the group was impressed by Buhari’s performance in his first term, especially in delivering some important projects like the Baro Dry Port in the North.
The president has been criticised by Nigerians and the opposition for his not-too impressive performance in his first term which is due to end on May 29, 2019.
His war against corruption has been largely seen as being one-sided while the resurgence of Boko Haram and bandits have also raised questions about the war against insecurity.
