President Muhammadu Buhari has departed London Stansted Airport for Nigeria.
The Presidential jet took off from the airport about 20 minutes ago.
There had been speculations that President Buhari’s 10 -day private visit to the United Kingdom may be extended for medical reasons. This claim was denied by the President’s handlers.
Sources close to the President had told this magazine that the president in addition to wanting to take time off to rest was also working on the list of key personnel who would be part of the new Federal Executive.
Presidential confidant and nephew, Mamman Daura, Dr. Dauda Ibrahim, and his friend Isa Funtua arrived London a day before the President’s arrival.
President Muhamadu Buhari is expected to arrive Abuja this evening.
