Senator Bukola Saraki, Senate President on Tuesday finally laid to rest speculation about his impending exit from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as he announced his exit from the party.
Saraki made the announcement through his Twitter handle @bukolasaraki.
“I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

In the same, Ahmed Abdul Fatah, Governor of Kwara State also left the party.
Announcing his defection on Tuesday evening, minutes after Senate President Bukola Saraki announced his resignation from the APC, Abdulfatah wrote: “Following due consultations and in response to calls by major stakeholders in the state, I have moved to the PDP because the APC can longer serve as a platform for achieving the aspirations and expectations of my people.”
