A Lagos High Court has granted bail to former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.
In granting the former governor bail the Judge ordered him to deposit his international passport and a N50million bond. His suretee is to be someone with a proof of three years tax clearance.
Fayose has been in the custody of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegation that he received about N1.3bn from the Office of the National Security Adviser through the then Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.
He was arraigned on Monday before the Federal High Court in Lagos six days after he completed his tenure as governor.
The former governor was taken to court from the custody of the EFCC where he had been detained for questioning after he voluntarily submitted himself on Tuesday, October 16.
