The Management of Blueprint Newspapers Limited has added a new title to its growing stable, entitled: ‘’BlueprintWeekend’’.
A statement signed by Zainab Okino-Suleiman, the Editor-in-Chief, Blueprint newspaper, it said the new title made its debut on October 14, 2017, with an incisive lead story, entitled ‘’Buhari’s
Men At War’’.
Okino-Suleiman said that the newspaper promises to define soft sell journalism, adding that it will not follow the pack of sensationalism.
The Editor-in-Chief averred that the ‘’Blueprint Weekend’’ will only publish stories that are of public interest, without pandering to any commercial or sectional interest.
The statement made available to Elendu Reports on Sunday reads in part: ‘’Blueprint Weekend which is the latest addition to the Blueprint family, is a potpourri of mainly human angle stories, including topical political issues and in depth interviews with newsmakers and elder statesmen who are now out of public glare.
‘’The Management is proud to announce that the publishing company started with Blueprint as a weekly newspaper but in record time of six months, we went daily. Six years later, the weekend edition which covers both Saturday and Sunday, has hit the newsstands nationwide.
‘’So far, the response from readers, advertisers and professional colleagues have been encouraging and the Management pledges to improve on the content and overall quality of the two newspaper titles on its stable, that is Blueprint and Blueprint Weekend.’’
