Mahamudu Bawumia, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s presidential candidate, conceded to former President John Mahama, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, in Saturday’s Ghana election.
This was even before the announcement of the official results of the polls.
He said on national television that the party’s parallel collation showed that the poll would not end in his favour.
The Electoral Commission (EC) is still expected to announce the official results in due course.
