Eight soldiers are missing, while three others were injured when Boko Haram members ambushed troops on the Damboa-Sabon Gari Road in Borno State on Monday.
Military sources told SaharaReporters that one Army gun truck was also taken away by the sect’s members.
According to sources, the injured soldiers have been moved to a medical facility in Biu for treatment.
But there were no immediate details of how the attack took place and which faction of Boko Haram carried out the attack.
The Army is yet to issue any statement on the attack.
