APC governors absent from inauguration of Presidential Campaign Council

GOVERNORS elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday stayed away from the inaugural meeting of the Presidential Campaign Council.

The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Banquet hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja but the governors were conspicuously missing.

No reason was given for their absence by the President or the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiohmole.
The governors were to serve as state coordinators and members of the Council.

In his opening address, President Buhari said the meeting was to outline the operational structure of the Council with a view to assigning key responsibilities to members of the Council.
