THE people of Kwara State may have to an end to the political hegemony of the Saraki dynasty in the state after results of the Saturday Senatorial election show that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki may have lost his senatorial seat to Ibrahim Oloriegbe of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the results released so far by INEC, Oloriegbe polled 151,763 votes to defeat Saraki of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 87032, to clinch the Kwara Central Senatorial District seat.
The result, a major upset coming from Kwara State was as a result of Otoge Movement by Kwara people determined to end the political domination of Saraki dynasty in the state.
