As the advertising industry prepares for the 2022 edition of the Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) awards, over 400 entries have been shortlisted for the prestigious awards.
Lanre Adisa, the Chairman Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) Management Board, disclosed this while speaking on the forthcoming award edition shortly after the completion of the jury sittings.
According to Adisa, 17 creative agencies from Nigeria and Ghana will be competing for awards in different categories, including Print, Film, Outdoor, Digital Craft, Campaign, Film Craft, Radio-Craft, and Film Craft, among others.
He expressed delight with the participation and the shortlist of work from Social Ghana, an Accra-based creative agency for making history as the first agency out of Nigeria to achieve such a feat. He added that the LAIF Awards is poised to become a preeminent Sub-Saharan Advertising Festival with participation from other West African countries.
“We are very excited that a creative agency from Ghana, Social Ghana, will be making history as the first agency outside Nigeria’s shores to participate in the award. It validates our goal of building LAIF to be a worthy and respected sub-regional award festival”, he said.
The list of agencies that will be jostling for recognition and honour at the event includes 7even Interactive, Dentsu Creative, DKK & Associates, Imaginarium Marketing Communications, X3M Ideas, IMS Advertising, Insight Publicis, Isobar, Leo Burnett, Livespot Media, Neukleos Marketing Services, Noah’s Ark Communications, Ogilvy Nigeria, Onewildcard, Social Ghana, Spice 360 and Tequila Nigeria.
The 2002 LAIF Awards, the 17th edition of the celebration of creative excellence by the Advertising Agencies Association of Nigeria (AAAN) is billed to hold at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
